ABOUT US

In the past, urban clothing brands were known for designing clothes that represented the styles of the inner city. In recent years the creativity in the designs of the clothing has fallen short to the desire of many companies to maintain crossover appeal. MRAS Signatures serves as a voice of the urban culture by incorporating its language, style, and attitude into the design of the clothing it produces.

Ebonics® brand clothing is the flagship clothing line from MRAS Signatures. The main idea of the line is to promote the positive aspects of creating and using street slang. One such aspect is that most slang expressions are simple English words used in such a unique manner that the implied meanings transcend the boundaries of the inner city to be accepted by the masses.

This main feature of this line is t-shirts with the Ebonics® logo on the front and a commonly used slang expression along with dictionary styled definition of it on the back. No derogatory words or words with negative definitions are used.

Body Slang™ urban female apparel is the female line that compliments Ebonics®. Since most women do not speak slang as often as men do, it is their body language that is the focus of the line. When considering women of color, their body language has a uniqueness of its own, such that it can be considered a “slang” of movement and gesture rather than a spoken slang, thus the name Body Slang.

This line has the same general idea in that it gives light to popular expressions that are used to describe the physical characteristics and personality types of ethnic women. The main features of the line are female t-shirts that have variations of the Body Slang logo on the front (a ‘B’ with an ‘S’ outlined within it) and a word on the back of the shirt that is to be defined by the woman wearing the shirt.

Other lines with related and unrelated themes are in the initial design stages and are being prepared for future releases.
